Ad-free YouTube viewing and generative AI access combined in a single subscription; YouTube Premium included free with Google AI Pro; bundle is 34% cheaper than subscribing to each service separately

LG Uplus will become the first carrier in South Korea to offer a combined YouTube Premium and Google AI Pro subscription package, giving users access to both platforms for as little as 29,000 won (about $19) a month.

The company said it will launch the "YouTube Premium + Google AI Pro" bundle on Tuesday.

The package is the first in the domestic market to link a generative AI subscription with ad-free YouTube viewing in a single digital bundle. Customers can sign up through Udok, LG Uplus's subscription service platform.

The key selling point is that YouTube Premium is included at no extra cost on top of the 29,000 won ($19) monthly fee for Google AI Pro — roughly 34 percent cheaper than subscribing to each service separately. LG Uplus customers with VIP or higher membership ratings can apply a 4,000-won discount coupon through the "VIP Kok" benefit, bringing the monthly cost down to 25,000 won (about $17).

LG Uplus said it developed the bundle after observing a shift in customer behavior toward consuming video content and using AI tools at the same time. The product targets users — including creators who extract real-time insights and produce images with AI — who want to consume content and use AI simultaneously.

YouTube Premium delivers ad-free video playback, background play, offline downloads and YouTube Music, deepening content immersion.

Google AI Pro is powered by the latest Gemini 3.1 Pro engine and offers an advanced AI experience. Customers can generate text and images, use the "Deep Research" feature — which independently analyzes large volumes of information and compiles comprehensive reports — and maximize productivity through integration with Gmail, Docs and other Google Workspace tools.

The bundle also includes 5TB of Google One cloud storage shared among up to six users — the account holder and up to five family members — covering everything from media consumption and smart work management to data storage.

LG Uplus said it plans to expand its digital service lineup in partnership with global partners including Google and YouTube, while continuing to lower the cost burden for customers. The company also intends to strengthen its AI-based competitiveness across infrastructure and platform services beyond traditional telecommunications.
