Dry cleaning targets dust mites, mold

Sealy Mattress has maintained a 14-year partnership with mattress cleaning specialist Cleanbed, offering professional cleaning services to customers who purchase its Posturepedic mattresses. The collaboration began in 2012 and remains an ongoing part of the company's after-sales offering.

Mattresses are susceptible to prolonged exposure to everyday contaminants given their long lifespan. Demand for mattress maintenance has grown as consumer attention to sleep quality and bedroom hygiene has increased in recent years.

Cleanbed's service uses a dry-cleaning method with a deep-cleaning device that generates 3,000 vibrations per minute to remove dust mites, mold and other contaminants from inside the mattress. Wet cleaning of heavily soiled areas, as well as pest control and disinfection services, are also available depending on the condition of the mattress.

The number of customers using Cleanbed's cleaning service has consistently grown alongside product sales, according to Sealy Mattress. The company described the arrangement as a long-term partnership in which Sealy Mattress broadens access to professional cleaning services while Cleanbed builds operational experience and expertise.

"We are working with Cleanbed to provide professional cleaning services so that customers can manage their mattresses more hygienically and maintain a comfortable sleep environment," a Sealy Mattress official said.

Sealy Mattress is a global mattress brand with a 145-year history. The company has developed its product technology in collaboration with orthopedic physicians since 1950. In South Korea, all 106 models manufactured and sold at its Yeoju factory hold "radon-safe product" certification from the Korean Standards Association.
