Lotte Home Shopping is expanding the brick-and-mortar presence of global outdoor brand Aigle with new permanent stores.

The company opened Aigle's second permanent domestic store on Dosandaero in Seoul's Gangnam-gu on May 29, it announced Sunday.

Aigle is a global outdoor brand founded in France in 1853. Lotte Home Shopping secured the exclusive domestic license for the brand in 2024, then ran pop-up stores in major fashion districts including Apgujeong and Hannam-dong last year before opening the first permanent store at Lotte World Mall in Jamsil in April.

Lotte Home Shopping has been building its domestic retail business by acquiring exclusive licenses for overseas brands. The company said the store expansion is part of a new business strategy to counter stagnation in the TV home shopping market and the diversification of consumer channels, with plans this year to deepen brand experiences through a growing network of permanent stores.

Aigle's sales have risen 40 percent year-on-year since the Jamsil store opened in April, according to Lotte Home Shopping. The Lotte World Mall location accounts for roughly 70 percent of Aigle's total sales. The company plans to run a pop-up store inside a department store in the Daejeon and Chungcheong area in the first half of this year and to open new stores in the Busan and Gyeongsang regions.
