The Hyundai Daegu announced Thursday that it will launch a special New York-themed Christmas event starting Friday, bringing the warmth and wonder of a New York holiday season to shoppers.

On the first floor, The Square will host "Christmas in New York City," a festive installation featuring Heyhe, a large cat character.

The sixth-floor Family Studio will be transformed into a Christmas market inspired by Manhattan's Herald Square, while the second below-ground floor will feature a 4.5-meter Christmas tree and a pop-up space designed to evoke New York's year-end atmosphere.

Starting Nov. 12, the ninth floor will showcase "Ibemuare," a Christmas media art exhibition created in collaboration with local artists. The Gates Garden will also be decorated as a Milky Way forest, creating a fantastical winter landscape.

Additional offerings — including a photo booth on the eighth floor and a Christmas exhibition on the first below-ground floor — will run through Dec. 31.

"This year, through a new Christmas theme, we hope to offer customers visiting The Hyundai Daegu a differentiated experience and establish it as a go-to Christmas destination in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province region," an official at The Hyundai Daegu said.
