Gwangjin-gu will hold a ceremony Tuesday afternoon to mark the 30th anniversary of the Gwangjin Cultural Center, beginning at 3 p.m. at the main performance hall of Naru Art Center.

The event carries the theme "The Power of Culture That Connects Love, Gwangjin Blooming Through Culture." It is designed to look back on three decades of work promoting local arts and culture and to share a vision for the cultural community residents will build together going forward.

The program is divided into two parts. The first, a formal ceremony, will include a 30th-anniversary commemorative video, commendations for contributors, a future-vision proclamation and celebratory performances by eight clubs affiliated with the center. The second part features a student showcase in which participants will demonstrate skills in traditional dance, instrumental music and choral singing developed through their coursework.

Alongside the ceremony, a student works exhibition will open at Space 76 on the first floor of Naru Art Center, where visitors can view calligraphy, paintings, crafts and other pieces created by enrolled students.

"I am deeply grateful to everyone at the Gwangjin Cultural Center who has contributed to the development of local arts and culture over the past 30 years, and to the residents who have shown such warm support," Gwangjin-gu District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said. "We will continue to work closely with the center and provide whatever support is needed so that it can expand its role as a hub of culture in our community."
