MAN Truck Bus Korea, the Korean unit of German premium commercial vehicle brand MAN Truck Bus Group, announced Thursday that it successfully held its "Body-Builder Seminar 2026" on Tuesday at Hotel ICC in Daejeon, with about 110 representatives from major domestic body-builder manufacturers and related organizations in attendance.

The body-builder seminar is an annual event MAN Truck Bus Korea organizes to strengthen technical exchange and cooperation with domestic body-builder manufacturers. Now in its fifth year, the seminar again served as a platform for sharing technical information and hands-on experience needed in body-building, while deepening collaborative ties aimed at improving the quality of finished vehicles and raising customer satisfaction.

Attendees included representatives from 22 body-builder manufacturers, alongside officials from the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA), the Korea Transportation Safety Authority and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as MAN Truck Bus Korea executives and staff. Participants exchanged views on key industry issues and deepened their technical understanding of the vehicle manufacturing and body-building process.

Three vehicles were on display at the venue — two new MAN TGX and MAN TGM cab-chassis models and one new MAN TGX tractor. Attendees examined the vehicles firsthand, reviewing chassis frame structures and key technical specifications, and discussed technical considerations for the design and installation of body-building equipment.

The seminar also featured a program on technical guidelines and relevant regulations for the body-building process. MAN Truck Bus Korea explained key technical standards and precautions to observe when installing body equipment, and provided detailed on-site answers to questions submitted in advance by body-builder manufacturers. Lectures by outside experts rounded out the program, covering major industry issues and technical information related to the body-building sector.

A highlight of this year's seminar was a ceremony awarding "Level 2 Technical Certification" certificates to select body-builder partners. The certification is designed to ensure that MAN Truck Bus Korea and body-builder manufacturers jointly meet established technical standards to produce safe, high-quality special-purpose vehicles, and is granted to manufacturers that commit to following MAN's technical guidelines.

Last year, MAN Truck Bus Korea introduced its Certified Bodybuilder Program (CBP), an official technical recognition program offering on-site technical training and finished-vehicle inspections for body-builder manufacturers. This year, the company took the partnership a step further by presenting technical certification certificates to key body-builder partners.

"The quality and safety of the vehicles our customers actually operate are achieved not only through the truck's own technology, but through the expertise of body-builder manufacturers and close collaboration," said Peter Andersson, president of MAN Truck Bus Korea. "MAN Truck Bus Korea will continue to pursue ongoing technical exchange and close cooperation with our partners, working to deliver high-quality body-building solutions optimized for the diverse transport environments of our customers."

Meanwhile, MAN Truck Bus Korea has been running a range of customer service initiatives, including its "MAN Service Day" complimentary inspection tour — a mobile service campaign that has visited six major logistics hubs nationwide, starting in Incheon and extending to Uiwang in Gyeonggi Province, Mungyeong in North Gyeongsang Province, Gwangyang in South Jeolla Province, Busan and Ulsan, to support safe winter driving.
