Event set for Nov. 24 at 5 p.m. — Ringkart's 'Chunhyang Aega' and Seo Moon-tak Band to perform
Free for all Songpa-gu residents; reservations open Friday at 11 a.m. via Naver on a first-come, first-served basis
Songpa-gu in Seoul is hosting a special year-end concert bringing together traditional pansori, contemporary dance, street dance and a rock band performance all on one stage.
The district announced it will hold the "2026 Songpa Year-End Concert" at Lotte Concert Hall on Nov. 24 at 5 p.m.
The concert is the final installment this year of the "Songpa Cultural Performance Series," organized by Songpa-gu and run by the Songpa Cultural Foundation. The event will showcase a fusion performance blending traditional arts, contemporary performance and popular music at the world-class Lotte Concert Hall, offering residents a special cultural experience to close out the year.
The show runs approximately 120 minutes and is divided into two parts.
The first half features fusion arts group Ringkart performing "Chunhyang Aega," a piece that weaves contemporary dance and street dance into traditional pansori. The work drew praise at an official event during the 2025 Gyeongju APEC summit, combining the deep resonance of pansori with dynamic choreography to retell a familiar traditional story through a modern sensibility.
The second half belongs to the Seo Moon-tak Band, known for its powerhouse vocals. The group will close the concert with soaring high notes, an intense band sound and commanding stage presence.
Admission is free, but the event is open only to Songpa-gu residents. Reservations begin Friday at 11 a.m. through Naver on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees must present a photo ID confirming their Songpa-gu residency when picking up their tickets.
Further details are available through the Songpa Cultural Foundation's KakaoTalk channel, and inquiries can be directed to the foundation.
"As the year draws to a close, we prepared this stage to offer residents a moment of warm comfort and renewal through high-quality cultural and artistic performances," Songpa-gu District Mayor Seo Gang-seok said. "I hope you will come to Lotte Concert Hall with your family and neighbors to enjoy a premium performance and create unforgettable memories."
