Seoul's Eunpyeong-gu will accept applications for its 2027 sports voucher program for children, youth and people with disabilities from Monday through Nov. 27.

The program subsidizes sports class fees to help low-income children and youth and people with disabilities participate in athletic activities.

Children and youth between the ages of 5 and 18 — born between 2009 and 2022 — from low-income households are eligible for the standard sports voucher, which covers up to 105,000 won ($78) per person per month in class fees.

A separate voucher for people with disabilities is open to those aged 5 to 69, born between 1958 and 2022, and provides up to 110,000 won per month.

In-person applications can be submitted at the Eunpyeong-gu district office's sports division or at the community center in the applicant's neighborhood. Online applications are available through the respective websites for each voucher program.

Applicants will be notified of the final selection results individually on Dec. 4.

"We will make sure that no one has to give up sports activities because of financial circumstances," Eunpyeong-gu District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said. "We will continue working to help residents enjoy a variety of physical activities and lead healthy lives."
