Mapo-gu will hold its second round of community dialogue sessions at 16 neighborhood community centers from Wednesday through Nov. 20.

The series marks the second large-scale resident forum since the launch of the ninth elected term, following the first round held in July.

While the first round focused on gathering residents' requests and suggestions, the second is centered on reporting back — explaining how those submissions have been handled and what steps are planned going forward.

A total of 192 complaints and requests were received across various policy areas during the first round.

For each of the 192 items, the relevant bureau director will personally present the outcome and current status, using slide presentations to make the information easy to follow at a glance. Having the official directly responsible for each area deliver the briefing is intended to give residents accurate, detailed information and address any remaining questions.

The district mayor's open conversation segment, which drew strong interest in the first round, will also continue. Mapo-gu District Mayor Yu Dong-gyun plans to share the administrative vision and key campaign pledges for the ninth elected term and to speak candidly with residents about local inconveniences and neighborhood issues.

The second round kicks off Wednesday with sessions in Sinsu-dong, Yeomni-dong and Daeheung-dong, and concludes Nov. 20 with sessions in Seongsan 1-dong and Seogyeo-dong, covering all 16 neighborhood community centers in sequence.

"Communication with residents must go beyond simply listening — it must extend to responding and following through on what we hear," Yu said. "We will consistently create opportunities to engage with residents and do our utmost to ensure their voices are faithfully reflected in the district's administration."
