Only Korean paint firm at show, running through Friday in Las Vegas
Water- and oil-based paints, AI-powered digital color-matching technology on display
North America customer expansion tied to Dallas color center
KCC announced Wednesday it will participate in the SEMA Show, an automotive aftermarket exhibition in Las Vegas, for the second consecutive year — the only Korean paint company to do so.
Running Tuesday (local time) through Friday at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the SEMA Show is a business-to-business exhibition showcasing products and technologies related to auto parts, tuning, painting and repair. The event draws more than 100,000 industry professionals from over 100 countries each year, with more than 2,000 companies taking part.
KCC will present its water-based automotive refinish paint Sumix and oil-based paint Baromatch, along with clearcoat products and refinishing accessories.
The company will also demonstrate Color-Navi Plus, an AI-powered color solution that analyzes vehicle color data measured by a spectrophotometer to search for similar shades, generate mixing formulas and automatically correct color. KCC will also introduce CR6, an automated color-mixing system.
KCC established a Refinish Color Center in Dallas, Texas, in 2023 to conduct color-mixing research for automotive refinish paints and provide local technical support. The company plans to use the exhibition to consult with local buyers and expand its customer base in North America.
"We will broaden our business foundation in the North American market, drawing on our diverse product lineup and the technical support capabilities of our US Refinish Color Center," a KCC official said.
