SMEs selected from Ministry R&D performers based on technology and market assessments

The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs announced Wednesday that it held its sixth SME R&D dedicated-bank investor presentation of 2026 to support small and medium-sized enterprises in the defense and national strategic technology sectors in attracting investment.

The two-day event ran from Tuesday at TIPA's Greater Seoul evaluation center, with Industrial Bank of Korea and Hana Bank — the designated banks for SME research and development fund deposits — taking part.

TIPA accepted applications in September from companies that had carried out R&D projects under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, then evaluated their technological and market potential to select 16 firms.

The selected companies made in-person investor relations presentations to investment reviewers from both banks. Companies that draw the reviewers' interest will go through follow-up meetings before a final investment decision is made.

"We will strengthen the support framework that links technology development, commercialization and investment attraction in cooperation with the SME R&D dedicated banks," TIPA Director General Kim Young-sin said.
