KCC Silicone participates in In-cosmetics Asia 2026 from Tuesday through Thursday
High-performance silicone materials and customized formulation solutions on display
Award-winning innovative material from domestic exhibition to be showcased
Company aims to expand technology cooperation with global cosmetics firms
KCC Silicone announced Tuesday that it is participating in In-cosmetics Asia 2026, held in Bangkok, Thailand.
In-cosmetics Asia is a leading cosmetics ingredients exhibition for the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together global raw material suppliers, brand companies, ODM and OEM manufacturers, and research and development professionals. The event runs through Thursday.
At the exhibition, KCC Silicone will present silicone materials suited to Southeast Asia's hot and humid climate, along with customized formulation solutions. The company plans to focus particularly on technologies that enhance the light, fresh feel, adhesion and long-lasting performance required for sunscreen and makeup products.
The flagship product on display is SeraSense RBS 12, a silicone film-forming material developed using the company's proprietary thixotropic resin blend technology.
Thixotropy refers to the property by which a material's viscosity decreases under applied force — making it easy to spread — and then increases again once the force is removed. SeraSense RBS 12 spreads smoothly on skin and forms a uniform, flexible film after application, reducing stickiness while improving adhesion and durability.
SeraSense RBS 12 won the Silver award in the functional ingredients category at the In-cosmetics Korea 2026 Innovation Zone Awards held in July. KCC Silicone plans to use this exhibition to expand the product's reach to customers across the Asia-Pacific region.
The company will also introduce a range of functional silicone materials: SeraSense, which improves spreadability; SeraSoft, which delivers a soft, skin-adhering feel; SeraSilk, which provides a lightweight texture; and SeraSol, which supports stable emulsion formulation.
The exhibition booth will feature live demonstrations using actual cosmetics formulations and one-on-one technical consultations. Visitors will be able to compare the sensory properties of different materials firsthand, and the company will offer recommendations on material selection and application tailored to the development goals of skincare, sun care and makeup products.
Southeast Asia is a market where securing both spreadability and lasting performance in cosmetics is critical, given the region's hot and humid climate. There is growing demand not only for finished products but also for differentiated core ingredient technologies that determine a product's feel and functionality, tailored to local market conditions. KCC Silicone aims to meet that demand by moving beyond raw material supply to deepen technology cooperation with customers from the product development stage.
"Southeast Asia is a market where formulation technology that delivers a fresh feel and excellent durability even in hot and humid conditions is essential," a KCC Silicone official said. "We will support our customers' differentiated product development with our proprietary specialty silicone technology and diverse application solutions, and continue to expand cooperation in the global beauty materials market, including across the Asia-Pacific region."
