Hyundai Motor's management and union jointly donated 165 million won ($123,000) to Save the Children, an international children's rights NGO, at Hyojeong Middle School in Buk-gu, Ulsan, on Monday. The funds will go toward future mobility experience education at Hyojeong Middle School and scholarships for students at nine nearby elementary, middle and high schools.

The future mobility experience education program will run for four days this month at Hyundai Motor's Ulsan Technology Education Center for Hyojeong Middle School students, covering technology theory, assembly of hands-on learning kits, text coding practice and a driving experience using the assembled kits. Students will also tour the Ulsan factory.

The event is part of Hyundai Motor's "H-Hope Dream" corporate social responsibility initiative, which management and the union have jointly run since 2017 to support the dreams and healthy development of the next generation in Ulsan. Next month, the program will continue with a Christmas performance and hands-on activities for children ages 6 to 12.

"We prepared this event to help the next generation near the Ulsan factory explore new technologies and career paths, and to lay the groundwork for their growth," a Hyundai Motor official said.
