The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced Monday it will hold an exhibition of winning entries from its 2026 contest on preventing the misuse and abuse of harmful substances, including tobacco, alcohol and narcotics.

The exhibition will run Tuesday through Saturday at Nolimaru in Jeonpo-dong, followed by a second run Nov. 9–13 at the below-ground corridor of Busan City Hall — both venues chosen for their high public accessibility.

The event is designed to display award-winning works submitted by students, parents and teachers, and to spread a culture of prevention by heightening public awareness of the dangers of harmful substance misuse and abuse.

A total of 45 works will be on display — 13 posters, 11 webtoons and cartoons, 14 calligraphy pieces and seven character designs. Through the varied perspectives of school community members, the exhibition aims to convey the importance of avoiding tobacco, alcohol and narcotics in an accessible and engaging way.

"We will work to create a healthy education environment through multifaceted prevention education and outreach on harmful substance misuse and abuse, bringing together schools, families and local communities," Superintendent of Education Kim Seok-jun said.
