First episode of 'virtual asset boot camp' series tops 160,000 views
Platform expands outreach with content tailored to retail investors
Bithumb announced Monday that it has launched a new content series with Nunungji, a virtual YouTuber, or VTuber, who specializes in investment topics.
The series, titled "Gasang Jasan Hullyeonso" (virtual asset boot camp), follows Nunungji — a VTuber known for content about cryptocurrency and stock investment experiences — as the character works to build sound investment habits after a string of trading losses, presented in an entertainment format. Nunungji has around 46,000 subscribers.
The first episode features Nunungji visiting Bithumb Lounge in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and going through the process of signing up and using the platform's services.
The episode also includes an interview with Jang Jin-young, head of Bithumb's investor protection team, through which the company introduced its investor protection measures — including advance disclosure of investment risks and a customer phone verification process.
According to Bithumb, the first episode has surpassed 160,000 views and 400 comments since its release.
Bithumb currently runs several series on its official YouTube channel, including "b Tokonomics," which covers digital asset industry news, and "Bithumb Road," which highlights retail investors' experiences. The company recently also unveiled "Survival Bithumb 100: Nunungji Edition," a new series promoting its AI services.
"The virtual asset boot camp was designed to share the importance of sound investment habits in a lighthearted way, drawing on stories of investment failures," a Bithumb official said. "Buoyed by the enthusiastic response from viewers, we also launched 'Survival Bithumb 100: Nunungji Edition' to promote Bithumb's AI services, and we look forward to continued interest and support."
Meanwhile, Bithumb recently held its first in-house AI competition, identifying 107 use cases for the technology.
