Myung No-hyun, chairman of LS Group, said at a forum with executives from major affiliates and suppliers that the company would "solidify partnerships with suppliers to secure differentiated competitiveness."

Myung made the remarks Wednesday at the 2026 LS Supplier CEO Forum, held at LS Mirae-won, the group's corporate training center. Now in its fifth year, the forum is designed for LS and its suppliers to share management challenges and develop mutual-growth strategies.

The event drew more than 30 chief procurement officers from LS affiliates — including LS Cable & System, LS Electric, LS MnM and LS Mtron — along with about 80 supplier representatives from companies including C&S Energy, Korea Computer and Hanmi Electric Wire.

In his welcome address, Myung said the group's sustained growth had been made possible by the "active cooperation and tangible support" of its suppliers, and called current geopolitical risks and AI innovation "both a crisis and, at the same time, an opportunity for new challenges."

The forum then featured a series of lectures for supplier CEOs. Park Jong-hun, director of the Institute for Knowledge Economy, spoke on global affairs and economic trends, while Lim Jang-won, a professor at Semyung University's Graduate School of Journalism, addressed data literacy for leaders and data-driven decision-making. LS also introduced government support programs available to suppliers before hosting a networking session between group affiliates and supplier executives.

Lee Seung-hyun, chief executive of Hanmi Electric Wire — an LS Cable & System supplier — said the event offered management insights on issues difficult for individual companies to tackle alone, such as global economic uncertainty and the AI transition. "It was a place where we could share our on-the-ground concerns candidly with LS Group management and gain the confidence and trust that we can overcome these challenges together," Lee said.
