Ulsan will run a special cashback promotion for its local currency Ulsan Pay and consumer incentive events for its Ulsan Pedal and Ulsan Mall platforms from Nov. 1 through Nov. 15, timed to coincide with the 2026 Korea Grand Festival, a nationwide consumer spending campaign.

Residents who pay with Ulsan Pay — the city's local gift card currency — will receive an 18% cashback on purchases of up to 500,000 won ($378) per month, a 5 percentage point increase from the standard 13% rate.

Those who use Ulsan Pay at businesses registered under the city's fair-price program, or who shop through Ulsan Pedal, a delivery and pickup service, or Ulsan Mall, a mobile shopping platform, will receive an additional 5% cashback, bringing the maximum rebate to 23%. Discount coupon events will also run to encourage use of Ulsan Pedal and Ulsan Mall.

Members who consent to receive Ulsan Pay promotional notifications during the event period will receive a 10,000-won coupon for Ulsan Mall and a 7,000-won coupon for Ulsan Pedal. The coupons are limited to one per person, available on a first-come, first-served basis through the respective apps, and can be applied to purchases of 20,000 won or more.

Ulsan said it expects the promotion to ease the financial burden on residents, stimulate local consumption and help boost sales for small businesses and neighborhood commercial districts.
