The two sides will explore cooperation in remittance, payments and other financial services
New business opportunities to be pursued using domestic and international financial networks
BNK Busan Bank signed a strategic MOU with global payments infrastructure firm Nium on Wednesday at the bank's headquarters in Busan to strengthen its financial services capabilities.
Nium is a global financial technology company that provides cross-border remittance, payments and foreign exchange services to financial institutions and businesses. The company operates payment infrastructure covering more than 190 countries and supports transactions in over 100 currencies.
The agreement draws on Busan Bank's financial network and Nium's global payments infrastructure to explore cooperation in areas such as overseas remittance, while identifying new business opportunities. The two sides plan to review collaboration in international remittance and digital wallet transfers, and to jointly pursue new ventures leveraging their domestic and international financial networks.
Busan Bank said it intends to expand cooperation opportunities to better serve the financial needs of foreign customers and a broader customer base, while improving the convenience and competitiveness of its global financial services. "We plan to continue working-level consultations and information exchanges following this agreement, and to discuss specific directions for collaboration," a Busan Bank official said.
