The Seoul Crypto Institute (SCI), a private think tank registered as a nonprofit association with the National Assembly Secretariat, officially launched Wednesday with a founding seminar at Centropolis Conference Room in Jongno-gu, Seoul. In a keynote address, SCI President Park Jong-baek proposed building what he called "G3 Korea" — a vision to combine crypto with manufacturing, technology, finance and institutional frameworks to position South Korea as a "third pillar" of the global economy alongside the United States and China. Kim Sang-su, deputy secretary-general of the National Assembly, was among the guests who attended the seminar to mark the institute's launch.
