Samsung Electronics ranked fifth in the world for the seventh consecutive year in Interbrand's "Best Global Brands 2026" list, the company announced Wednesday.

Interbrand publishes its annual "Best Global Brands" ranking by comprehensively analyzing each company's financial performance outlook, the influence of its brand on purchasing decisions, and overall brand competitiveness.

Samsung Electronics has been the only Asian company in the top five global brands since 2020. Its brand value this year rose 16 percent from last year to $105.2 billion.

Samsung Electronics said the ranking reflected its record-high earnings driven by concentrated investment in semiconductors, strengthened AI capabilities in its Device eXperience (DX) division led by the mobile business, and the execution of a customer-focused brand strategy built on the One Samsung platform.

The Device Solutions (DS) division, which oversees the semiconductor business, has been expanding its supply of high-value-added memory chips to meet growing AI demand and is demonstrating technological leadership by becoming the world's first to mass-produce sixth-generation HBM, or HBM4.

The DX division is broadening everyday convenience by delivering personalized AI experiences and connectivity across all product lines, including mobile, TV and home appliances. The division further strengthened its brand presence with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, an eighth-generation foldable phone featuring a 4:3 aspect ratio display.
