LG Electronics' Dios TrueSteam dishwasher has redefined kitchen appliance hygiene standards over seven years of continuous technological innovation, according to the company.

The brand's core technology, 100-degree TrueSteam, eliminates 99.999 percent of 28 types of harmful bacteria, including strains that cause food poisoning. It has met rising customer expectations for hygiene in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, reinforcing the product's identity not merely as a dish-cleaning tool but as a health-protection solution for the family.

LG Electronics also highlights design details that set the appliance apart from competitors. A water-softening device — the only one fitted in a domestically branded dishwasher in South Korea — reduces limescale in tap water, preventing white water stains on dishes after washing. The company said ongoing upgrades reflecting customer feedback, including a triple-drying system with hot-air drying, the launch of a 14-person-capacity model and an energy efficiency rating of 1, demonstrate that it is a first mover leading market change.

The appliance continues to evolve as an intelligent home device. An "AI auto course" delivered through the UP Appliance feature detects the level of soiling on dishes and optimizes water usage and spray intensity for efficient cleaning. LG Electronics said it has established the dishwasher as an essential kitchen appliance based on its brand philosophy of reducing household labor and giving customers more time for themselves. The company added that the Dios TrueSteam dishwasher has built an irreplaceable presence in the kitchen appliance market.
