Regional exhibitions and street dance performances run from Nov. 3 to 15
The Dobong Cultural Foundation in Seoul announced Wednesday that it will co-host the "2026 Arts for Charming Seoul — Chilling Festa (7-ling Festa)" with the cultural foundations of Gwangjin-gu, Nowon-gu and Jungnang-gu from Nov. 3 to 15.
The festival is part of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture's "Arts for Charming Seoul" project and was organized jointly by the four district cultural foundations connected along Seoul Metro Line 7. Themed "Tense Peace, Intense Chill," the event aims to reinterpret former military facilities and the historical character of each district through the lens of peace and regeneration, bringing new cultural energy to Seoul's northeastern corridor.
The festival consists of exhibition projects held separately in each of the four districts and a joint performance project. The exhibition project, titled "N.E.W 1" (North East Wave), features 16 young artists — four from each district — exploring the meanings of peace and rest. It runs from Nov. 3 to 15 at cultural venues across the four districts.
The performance project, "N.E.W 2," is themed "Chilling Street — Four Neighborhoods, One Stage" and brings together four street dance crews for a joint touring show: Gwangjin-gu's MB Crew, Nowon-gu's N.W.A, Dobong-gu's Just Be Crew and Jungnang-gu's Personal Trick.
Performances begin at 2 p.m. at each venue: the outdoor plaza of the Naru Arts Center in Gwangjin-gu on Nov. 7; Danghyeon Maru along Danghyeoncheon stream in Nowon-gu on Nov. 8; Mangwu Station Plaza in Jungnang-gu on Nov. 14; and the plaza of the Peace Culture Jinji in Dobong-gu on Nov. 15.
The four foundations have been holding joint planning meetings and workshops since February to build a collaborative framework for the festival, which serves as a platform for young artists to connect and collaborate across district boundaries.
