South Chungcheong Province is hosting a fair designed to connect Greater Seoul job seekers with regional employers, offering support spanning employment, housing and settlement in one place.

The province is holding the "2026 Jobs and Housing One-Stop Fair: Chungcheong, Where Your Future Lies" Wednesday and Thursday at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeouido, Seoul, in partnership with the Korea Enterprises Federation, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, North Chungcheong Province and the Korea Federation of SMEs.

The fair aims to provide Greater Seoul residents with information on job openings at Chungcheong region companies as well as housing and settlement resources, helping them find work and relocate to the region while easing labor shortages facing local businesses.

Around 3,000 young and middle-aged adults from the greater metropolitan area are expected to attend, alongside some 230 companies participating online and in person from 15 cities and counties across the Chungcheong region. Nine cities and counties within South Chungcheong Province are taking part: Cheonan, Asan, Seosan, Boryeong, Buyeo, Seocheon, Yesan, Cheongyang and Hongseong.

The fair will offer job listings and on-site consultations with Chungcheong region companies, as well as information on housing and settlement support programs offered by individual cities and counties — covering everything job seekers need to know about living and working in the region.

Unlike conventional job fairs that focus primarily on recruitment information and employment placement, this event allows job seekers to consult on housing and settlement concerns at the same time, integrating employment and residential support into a single experience.

On Wednesday, the fair's opening day, South Chungcheong Province Executive Vice Governor Gu Bon-yeong attended a "Regional Mutual Prosperity Jobs and Housing Talk Concert," joining government and business figures, local government officials, regional entrepreneurs and people who have already settled in the area to discuss ways to encourage more people to put down roots in the region.

"We will widely publicize hiring opportunities at regional companies and put in place comprehensive housing and settlement support," Gu said. "We will continue to work closely with cities, counties and relevant agencies so that job seekers from the greater metropolitan area can find employment and build stable lives in the province."
