At the Yeosu World Islands Expo venue

The organizing committee of the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo will hold a large-scale South Jeolla Province and Gwangju seafood special exhibition at the plaza in front of the expo's main theme island from Friday through Sunday.

Organized by the South Jeolla-Gwangju Integrated Special City Federation of Korean Fisheries Business Operators to boost local seafood consumption, the event will feature 38 vendor booths run by fisheries operators from 15 cities and counties across the province, including Yeosu, Mokpo, Wando, Jindo, Yeonggwang and Sinan.

Featured products will include Yeosu's locally abundant tongue sole, croaker and octopus, Wando live abalone, Jindo dried seaweed, Yeonggwang gochujang-marinated dried yellow croaker, and dried seaweed from Jangheung and Gangjin — all sold at discounts of up to 25 percent.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Shoppers who spend 40,000 won ($30) or more will receive a 10,000 won gift of seafood, and those spending 80,000 won or more will receive a 20,000 won gift.

On Friday and Saturday, the YouTube channel "Kkeukkeutoк," run by former SBS comedians Jeong Hyeon-su and Kim Jeong-hyeon, will livestream from the venue.
