Certified mechanics check 61 items in total
Company says service aims to improve convenience for vehicle owners
SK Speedmate announced Tuesday it is launching an integrated vehicle management application called "THE Jeongbi" along with a new comprehensive safety inspection service.
THE Jeongbi — built around the brand slogan "Beyond Maintenance" — is an all-in-one vehicle management app that connects inspection results, maintenance history, store reservations and membership use into a single platform.
Users can track changes in their vehicle's condition by accumulating inspection and maintenance records over time, and the app sends reminders when the next service is due, allowing them to book a Speedmate appointment directly. Maintenance performed at other shops can also be entered manually, positioning the app as a personal vehicle management assistant. The company plans to introduce personalized services based on data collected through the app.
Alongside the app, SK Speedmate is rolling out a comprehensive safety inspection service. Certified mechanics check 15 major categories and 46 subcategories — covering engine oil, battery, brakes, tires and the vehicle undercarriage — for a total of 61 inspection items. A diagnostic scan also checks standard fault codes in safety-critical systems including the engine, braking and steering, with results delivered as a report.
AI-based analysis technology is used to assess tire condition, and fault codes detected in the vehicle are explained in plain language through AI so customers can easily understand the findings. The comprehensive safety inspection can be booked through the THE Jeongbi app and will initially be available at around 180 Speedmate stores nationwide, with a gradual expansion to additional locations planned.
SK Speedmate will offer one free comprehensive safety inspection to customers who download the THE Jeongbi app and complete membership registration and vehicle enrollment.
"THE Jeongbi and the comprehensive safety inspection service go beyond delivering a one-time maintenance result — they are meaningful because they connect that result to ongoing maintenance history and future service reminders," a company official said. "We will continue to improve our services, drawing on our maintenance expertise and AI technology, so customers can manage their vehicles more easily and conveniently."
Meanwhile, SK Speedmate has been carrying out a range of corporate social responsibility activities, including a vehicle maintenance support program launched in June for firefighters, families of firefighters killed in the line of duty, and social welfare organizations to mark the month of national defense and patriotism.
