Keimyung College University in Daegu announced Tuesday that three of its departments — early childhood education, police administration and hair design — received the top S rating in the 2025 academic year bachelor's degree advanced major program evaluation, while the health administration department earned an A rating.
The evaluation, organized by the Korea Council for University Education, comprehensively assessed the operational performance and educational quality of bachelor's degree advanced major programs at colleges and universities nationwide.
In the evaluation, the university was recognized for its advanced major programs in four fields closely tied to the local community and industry: early childhood education, police administration, hair design and health administration.
The S and A ratings across departments requiring distinct areas of expertise affirmed the university's commitment to substantive advanced major education and sound academic administration.
President Park Seung-ho said the results reflected the collective efforts of faculty and staff to strengthen the educational substance of the advanced major programs. "We will reinforce education and support so that students can build further on the competencies they developed in their associate degree programs and demonstrate their expertise in the local community and industry," he said.
