Gary, the singer from hip-hop duo Leessang, has shared a look at his everyday life with his son Hao, revealing that he has joined the ranks of parents shuttling their children to hagwon in Daechi-dong.

A video titled "I'll keep talking until Hao's hagwon class is over (Daechi Papa Kang Gary)" was recently posted to his YouTube channel "Kang Gary KANG GARY," showing Gary passing the time while waiting for his son's class to finish.

Gary said he recently moved Hao's hagwon to Daechi-dong. After dropping his son off that day, he had to wait about three hours for the class to end. He turned on his camera during that time and talked about his current life and his thoughts on parenting.

"Hagwon in Daechi-dong give entrance tests, and the better top-tier ones have pretty high barriers," Gary said. "To get into one of those hagwon, you have to get private tutoring just to prepare for the entrance — though I'm not doing that."

When a producer asked whether he was reluctant to push his son too hard, Gary said yes, but added, "Still, he has to keep up, so it's less about getting ahead and more about just making sure he's on track."

Gary married a non-celebrity woman in 2017 and had a son that same year. He and Hao appeared together on the KBS 2TV show "Superman Is Back" in 2020, giving viewers a look at his life as a father.
