LG CNS has obtained ISO 37301 certification, the international standard for compliance management systems, in recognition of the framework it has built across its major business lines, including AI, cloud and data center operations.

The company announced Tuesday that it had secured the certification amid a broadening of corporate compliance obligations driven by AI adoption. LG CNS said the certification represents international recognition of a system that customers, investors and partners can rely on.

ISO 37301 is a standard established by ISO to help organizations systematically fulfill and manage compliance obligations — covering laws, regulations, internal rules and ethical standards. The audit was conducted by LRQA, an international certification body.

The certification covers LG CNS's core business areas, including AI, cloud, data centers, and software development and maintenance. LRQA verified the compliance frameworks operated by each business unit through a review of systems and documentation, interviews with executives and staff, and an examination of actual work records.

LG CNS said it operates a company-wide compliance committee that oversees regular compliance risk assessments, education, monitoring, internal audits and management reviews, enabling the company to respond proactively to regulatory changes at home and abroad. The committee's operations — which extend to overseas subsidiaries — and a culture of employee-led compliance risk self-checks through an internal portal were singled out as best practices.

"This certification recognizes that we have built and are operating a compliance management system that meets international standards across all our major business lines," CEO Hyun Shin-kyun said. "We will continue to advance a global-level compliance framework at every business site, at home and abroad, to build a management system that customers and business partners can trust."
