Gangseo-gu will hold the 2026 Gangseo-gu Small Business Owners' Community Festival at Banghwa Neighborhood Park (178 Geumnangwha-ro) on Wednesday.

The event marks Small Business Owners' Day, a statutory commemorative day observed on Nov. 5, and is designed to boost the pride of local small business owners while creating a space for community solidarity and harmony.

Organized by the Gangseo-gu Small Business Owners' Association, the festival is expected to draw about 300 attendees, including Gangseo-gu District Mayor Jin Kyo-hoon, association officials and local residents.

The program opens at 1 p.m. with a pre-ceremony performance by the Ocarina Club, followed by an opening ceremony at 2 p.m. and a merit awards ceremony honoring those who have contributed to local economic development and the association's growth. Lee Woo-jin, vice chairman of Indeok Design, and Cheon Yun-hee, vice chairwoman of Uni Advertising, will receive commendations from the district mayor.

The main program features a talent show with 10 teams from the association, a guitar performance by acoustic guitar club Sanoramyeon, and celebratory stage performances by singers Kim Guk-hwan and Lee Hwan-ho.

Alongside the performances, food booths and store promotion stalls will give residents additional ways to participate and enjoy the festival.

The Gangseo-gu Small Business Owners' Association counts about 300 active members and plays a central role in protecting the rights of local small business owners and building mutual cooperation networks. The district said it will continue to support self-employed residents through capacity-building education and other programs aimed at fostering economic independence and revitalizing the local economy.

"I extend my deepest gratitude and respect to the small business owners who have quietly held their ground and served as a solid pillar of our local economy," District Mayor Jin said. "I hope this community festival becomes a vibrant celebration where small business owners strengthen their bonds with one another and share warm moments with residents."
