Dongguk University WISE Campus held a forum with the Gyeongju City Council on Thursday at the university's centennial memorial hall to discuss regional cooperation and shared development.
The forum was attended by Dongguk University WISE Campus President Ryu Wan-ha, Gyeongju City Council Speaker Im Hwal and other council lawmakers.
The event opened with introductions and a promotional video about the university, followed by a welcoming address from President Ryu and a response speech from Council Speaker Im.
Park Jong-gu, head of the university's planning office, then presented an overview of the WISE Campus, while Park Seong-beom, head of the industry-academic cooperation foundation, outlined plans for collaboration between the campus and local government.
"Universities and their communities grow together," President Ryu said. "Let us use this forum as an opportunity to discuss ways to advance regional cooperation with the Gyeongju City Council and further strengthen our partnership."
Council Speaker Im called for continued dialogue and cooperation. "At the council level as well, let us keep up active communication so that the university's specialization efforts and regional partnership projects can translate into tangible results," he said.
