Soccer commentator Park Moon-sung urged the players at the center of an alleged conflict within the national team to come forward publicly and resolve the situation themselves.
Park expressed concerns Thursday in a video posted to his YouTube channel "Dalsune Live" about allegations of internal discord within the national team and the controversy over the mention of a "No. 7 player" that emerged during a recent national audit.
"Is this really something that should be dealt with at a national audit?" Park said. "I'm not criticizing the audit itself, but hasn't this just been stoking the fire?"
"What has actually improved now that it's being raised at the national audit?" he said. "Isn't it strange that things that should have stayed inside keep leaking out and getting aired like this?"
Park also said reports of Kim Min-jae apologizing in a group chat had been leaked. "What is the point of constantly exposing relationship problems?" he said. "I'm not curious about the fact that they don't get along."
"It has appeared at the national audit and is being reported on," Park said. "I think a line has already been crossed, and resolving this internally no longer seems possible."
Park urged that the matter be brought to a close one way or another. "The players who were named need to wrap this up — by publicly stating their positions," he said, adding that they should "speak up directly, without letting things keep leaking out."
