Yoon Yu-jin, a Seoul Metropolitan Council member on the education committee representing the People Power Party's Songpa District 1, visited a job fair supporting the reemployment and entrepreneurship of women with career gaps to hear directly from job seekers.

Yoon attended the "2026 Songpa Career-Matching Day" at the Songpa Women's Career Center on Tuesday, encouraging women preparing to reenter the workforce or launch businesses and taking part in the event's programs.

The event was organized to provide new employment opportunities for women who had stepped away from economic activity due to childbirth or child-rearing, and to connect job seekers with companies.

This year's event featured on-site hiring interviews across a range of fields — including care services, design and administration — alongside counseling sessions guiding participants through available support programs for employment and entrepreneurship.

Yoon delivered remarks encouraging women taking on new professional challenges, then toured the event's programs to review the support available to those preparing to reenter the workforce.

Yoon said employment opportunities should be expanded so that women with career gaps could return to economic activity by drawing on their existing experience and expertise, and that the difficulties they face should be reflected in policy.

"We need to broaden opportunities so that women who want to work again can have their careers recognized and find jobs suited to their abilities," Yoon said. "I will work to identify the challenges in the reemployment and entrepreneurship process and ensure that the support needed on the ground is provided."
