Hyundai Department Store is running a "Re:Bag" campaign at the food hall of its Trade Center branch through Oct. 30, repurposing eco bags donated by customers into reusable shopping bags.

During the campaign, H Point members shopping at the food hall can request a Re:Bag at the checkout counter free of charge instead of buying a paper shopping bag or a standard garbage bag. The department store produced 1,500 Re:Bags in July using eco bags collected from customer donations.

Customers who use a Re:Bag receive a 100-won discount on their food hall purchases. Those who return their Re:Bag to the gift service desk at the Trade Center branch by Nov. 20 will also earn an additional 2,000 H Points.

The campaign was inspired by ideas that emerged from the "Youth Climate Action Open Innovation" initiative, a joint project involving Hyundai Department Store, the Ministry of Climate, Environment and Energy, and the Korea Environment Conservation Institute. Each Re:Bag is printed with the phrase "EVERY BAG HAS ANOTHER TRIP."
