LG Electronics said Wednesday it will unveil its new commercial system air conditioner, the LG MULTI V 7, at HARFKO 2026, the Korea International HVAC&R Exhibition, which opened at Kintex in Goyang.

The LG MULTI V 7 is defined by two key technologies: dual AI and a newly developed SPIN X compressor.

The dual AI system combines on-device AI with cloud AI to enable optimized operation. The on-device AI continuously learns the unit's installation environment and the customer's usage patterns in real time, while the cloud AI drives ongoing improvements in performance and stability through intelligent analysis and operational strategy optimization. Together, the two layers enable what LG Electronics describes as AI autonomous operation.

The SPIN X compressor features a significantly redesigned structure and incorporates several new technologies, including a two-way lubrication system and real-time oil condition monitoring. LG Electronics said the compressor delivers substantial improvements in heating and cooling performance, energy efficiency and operational stability compared with its predecessor.

LG Electronics designed its exhibition space to resemble an actual home, using it to present a future-oriented residential solution that integrates whole-home cooling, heating and hot water supply through a heat pump at its core. The company is particularly highlighting a heat pump-based heating, cooling and hot water solution tailored to the conditions of domestic apartment buildings.

Alongside this, the company is showcasing a smart integrated air solution in which its air conditioners, air purifiers and ventilation products work in tandem to simultaneously optimize air quality and energy efficiency in the home.

A dedicated AI data center exhibition area displays LG Electronics' differentiated product portfolio for air-cooling infrastructure, including chillers and fan wall units.

A chiller is a large-scale cooling device that produces chilled water in bulk and serves as a core component of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in large buildings, commercial facilities, factories and data centers. The chilled water it generates is used across a range of data center cooling applications, from air cooling to liquid cooling. Fan wall units are designed to deliver a stable supply of cold air inside AI data centers while efficiently expelling heat.

LG Electronics is also presenting key components for liquid cooling in AI data centers, including its globally recognized coolant distribution unit and a cold plate that absorbs heat directly from chips. The company is additionally introducing an immersion cooling solution — cited as one of the next-generation AI data center cooling technologies — and is displaying an immersion tank currently under development.

"We will continue to expand our advanced solutions, grounded in core technology competitiveness, across every domain that requires cooling solutions — from homes to commercial, industrial and AI data center environments," said Lee Jae-sung, president and head of LG Electronics' ES Business Division.
