Yangju city is accepting applications for "Night Sky Connections — The Gyooe Line Carries Love," an overnight tourism trip running Oct. 30 to Oct. 31 that pairs sightseeing along the Gyooe Line with a matchmaking program featuring the city's mascot, Byeolsan.

The one-night, two-day program is a stay-based tourism product linking the Gyooe Line with Yangju's major attractions, giving participants a chance to travel together, complete tourism missions and activities, and naturally build new connections along the way.

Participants will board the Gyooe Line and gather at Iryeong Station before visiting key sites including the Yangju City Art Museum, Gisan Reservoir, Jangheung Tourist Area and the Okjeong district.

Through tourism missions with Byeolsan, team games and a rotation-style meeting program, participants will experience Yangju's attractions while getting to know one another.

Participants who complete site-visit check-ins and team missions will receive Yangju Love Card rewards on a tiered basis, adding a competitive element while encouraging spending at local restaurants and cafes to help boost tourism consumption in the area.

The program is open to 20 unmarried singles — 10 men and 10 women — born between 1990 and 1999 who live in the Greater Seoul area, including Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi Province. The participation fee is 30,000 won ($23) per person.

Those wishing to apply must submit an application form, a profile photo, a copy of their resident registration, a marriage status certificate and an employment certificate by email no later than noon Tuesday.

The city will review eligibility and submitted documents to select participants, then send each selected applicant an individual link for reservation and payment.

Hong Mi-yeong, head of the culture and tourism division, called the trip "a special tourism product designed to let people experience Yangju's diverse attractions by train while naturally connecting with new people." She added that the city would continue developing differentiated stay-based tourism content "so that tourism can lead to new relationships and give visitors a reason to come back to Yangju."

Further details and application instructions are available on the Yangju city website under the notices and announcements section, or by contacting the tourism promotion team within the city's culture and tourism division.
