A camp offering young people a chance to meet authors and experience literature firsthand through writing will be held for the first time next month.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency will host the 2026 Literature Sharing Camp at the KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon Art Center on Nov. 21-22.

The camp was organized to introduce the Literature Sharing project to youth with a strong interest in literature and to offer a range of hands-on experiences.

On the first day, author Yu Gwang-su — who wrote "Saenghwal Dokso" (Lifestyle Reading), selected for the essay category of the 2026 Literature Sharing program — will deliver a special writing lecture. A book talk will follow, featuring novelist Kim Geum-hee, author of "Cheot Yeoreum, Wanju" (First Summer, Completion), selected in the fiction category, alongside singer Yun Machi, who performed "Chorok" (Green), the audiobook OST for the novel. The two will share the story behind the book's creation and behind-the-scenes episodes.

On the second day, participants will be divided into teams by literary genre and take part in a "ten-line writing" workshop alongside a mentor author assigned to each team.

The camp is open to anyone between the ages of 19 and 38. Applications are accepted through Nov. 6, and 70 participants will be selected.

Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency head Kim Seung-su said he hopes the camp will be "a meaningful time to connect with new people through literature and share thoughts and stories."

Beyond the camp, the agency hosts a range of author invitation events tied to its Literature Sharing selections at universities, local libraries, literary halls and bookstores across the country.

From October through November, the agency is also running a "Literature Sharing Book Club" at 15 independent bookstores nationwide, featuring author meet-and-greet sessions, along with a "Literature Sharing Book Review Corps" to promote titles by authors supported through the program.
