Hana Bank said Monday it led all domestic banks in retirement pension reserve accumulation on a cumulative basis through the third quarter.

According to comparative pension disclosures on the Financial Supervisory Service's integrated pension portal, Hana Bank's retirement pension reserves stood at 52.16 trillion won ($38.9 billion) as of the end of September, up 3.77 trillion won from the end of last year.

The bank has ranked first among domestic banks in retirement pension reserve growth for three consecutive years, from 2023 to 2025. Hana Bank attributed the achievement to its sustained expansion of professional in-person consulting and portfolio-based asset management services, going beyond simply attracting pension assets.

The bank operates dedicated pension asset management centers called "Yeongeumdeodeurim Lounge," which offer personalized in-person financial consultations. After opening a location in Songdo new town in June, the bank opened another at the Yatap Station financial center in October, continuing to expand its in-person presence at key locations.

In September, the bank launched an ETF-dedicated model portfolio subscription service, individual investor government bonds and a non-face-to-face over-the-counter bond trading system.

It also became the first bank to introduce a withdrawal-dedicated guaranteed performance-linked insurance product, establishing a full lifecycle management framework covering pension asset accumulation, management and disbursement.

Last month, Hana Bank held a customized seminar at Hana Financial Group's Myeong-dong headquarters for retirement pension customers, providing pension management information and expert consultations.

"Following three consecutive years as the top bank for retirement pension reserve growth, our continued solid growth this year is thanks to the trust of customers who believed in and chose Hana Bank," a bank official said. "We will continue to do our best to ensure that our customers' precious pension assets are managed stably, backed by differentiated customer service and product competitiveness."
