NH NongHyup Bank's North Gyeongsang branch, together with its Chilgok-gun chapter, visited the 2nd Battalion of the Army's 5837th Unit on Wednesday to encourage soldiers, deliver care packages and conduct a financial education session.
Branch Head Kim Jin-wook expressed gratitude for the troops' service, presented the care packages and introduced the goals of NongHyup's "Nongsim Cheonsim" movement, a civic initiative the cooperative has been promoting nationwide.
The financial education session that followed covered practical topics to help young soldiers build sound financial habits during their service and prepare for stable economic lives after discharge — including smart spending and saving, effective asset management and tips for avoiding voice phishing scams.
Also taking part in the session was N-Dolphin, NH NongHyup Bank's college student volunteer corps.
"We are deeply grateful to the soldiers who dedicate themselves to protecting the nation and its people," Kim said. "We will continue to provide financial education and various forms of support so that young service members can prepare for their futures grounded in sound financial knowledge."
