Global market-development mission visits India
Association aims to support members' overseas expansion and network building
The World Class Enterprise Association announced Friday that it is running a "Global Market Development Mission" from Monday through Saturday.
The mission, made up of member company executives and staff, visited major economic and advanced-industry hubs in New Delhi and Noida, India, to assess the local industrial ecosystem. The group also explored future industry trends and ways to expand members' global business operations.
The mission first visited the "Korean City" site to examine progress on building an industrial and business hub for Korean companies entering the Indian market. The team also reviewed local investment support policies, including land for business use, tax benefits, investment incentives and administrative support.
The group then visited HCL Technologies to tour its advanced IT services and R&D operations across digital, cloud and AI. It also visited Bharat Electronics, Motherson Group and Deki Electronics.
The mission called on local investment-related agencies to learn about India's industrial ecosystem, investment environment and support systems for foreign companies. It also secured local networks that member companies can draw on for future entry into the Indian market.
An association official said the program "provided a direct look at India's rapidly growing industrial landscape and an opportunity to experience and benchmark the technological competitiveness and growth strategies of global companies." The official added that it also "confirmed new business possibilities for powerful synergies, should the core technologies held by our member companies in AI, mobility, and electronics and components align with India's skilled workforce and market scale."
The World Class Enterprise Association is a nonprofit organization bringing together World Class Enterprises and materials, parts and equipment companies selected through a government program. It was established in 2014 to support the growth and global competitiveness of world-class companies.
