Paris Croissant, the operator of Paris Baguette, announced Friday that it held an employee social contribution campaign called "Give&Take" ahead of its founding anniversary to support children who lack access to regular meals.
The "Give&Take" program has supported vulnerable children since 2019. Employees voluntarily donate a set amount, which is then used to provide food for children in need.
About 760 employees, including CEO Kang Shin-bong, took part in this year's campaign, raising a total of 9.28 million won ($6,880). To encourage participation, the company offered a complimentary "Annyeong K-Pava Jeju Buckwheat Castella" product to each employee who donated 10,000 won.
The funds raised will be used to assemble 850 "Happy Box" snack packages filled with Paris Baguette products and other treats. Employees packed the boxes themselves on Friday, and the packages will be delivered to children in need through World Vision.
"It is especially meaningful to be able to mark our 40th founding anniversary this year by sharing together as employees," a Paris Croissant official said. "We will consistently carry on sharing activities that all members can participate in together and continue to spread a positive influence in our local communities."
