Gangdong-gu in Seoul will host a job-matching fair Oct. 27 at the Gangdong Community Center, bringing together job seekers and hiring companies for on-site interviews.

Six companies and institutions will take part in the event: Coupang Fulfillment Services LLC, Woowa Brothers Corp., Songpa Senior Care Center (district-run), Maeil Call Taxi Co., Gangdong Silver Care Center (city-run) and Wuji Enterprise Co. Participating organizations will conduct on-site interviews across a range of fields — including logistics, elderly care, taxi driving, store stocking and cleaning — with plans to hire up to 172 people in total.

Job seekers who wish to attend may register by Oct. 23 through the Gangdong-gu website or via a Naver form, or by calling the district office's employment policy division. Those who miss the pre-registration deadline may still participate on the day of the event by bringing a resume and identification to register on-site.

The venue will also feature side events open to all residents. An employment counseling and partner-agency desk will provide information on the national job-support program, free vocational training courses, and employment resources for women and senior citizens. Personal color consultations and makeup tips for job interviews will also be available.

Further details on hiring fields by company and other event information can be found on the Gangdong-gu website under "Gangdong News," or by contacting the district office's employment policy division.

Gangdong-gu District Mayor Lee Su-hee said she hopes the event will serve as a place where job seekers and employers can find the opportunities they need, adding that the district will continue to pursue tailored employment support that offers practical help to those looking for work.
