Winner and two runners-up to earn KPGA tour cards
DB Insurance is sponsoring the 11th DB Insurance Young Guns Match Play, a tournament aimed at developing promising young talent in Korean men's golf.
Hosted by DB Insurance and organized by the Korea Professional Golf Association, the event runs Oct. 26 through Oct. 30 at Rainbow Hills Country Club in Eumseong, North Chungcheong Province.
The tournament is open to elite amateur players in South Korea. Competitors will play a 36-hole stroke play qualifier over the first two days, with the top 32 advancing to a three-day, 18-hole match play bracket to determine the champion.
The winner, runner-up and third-place finisher will each receive a spot in the 22nd DB Insurance Promi Open — the 2027 KPGA tour season opener. Scholarships will also be awarded to the top eight finishers.
DB Insurance began sponsoring the tournament last year with the 10th edition and has continued its support after the organizing body changed from the Korea Golf Association to the KPGA this year.
"We hope the promising players who will lead the future of men's golf gain valuable experience and grow through this tournament," a DB Insurance official said. "We will continue to support the development of young talent and the promotion of men's golf."
