Broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu has praised actor Kim Min following his appearance on MBC's "I Live Alone," saying he felt like he had "fallen in love the moment I saw him."
Jang made the remarks Thursday on his Instagram account. "Wow, I only just watched it. How on earth does the 'I Live Alone' team keep finding such rare gems?" he wrote.
"He's even older than me," Jang added. "I think Kim Min will take the rookie award at this year's entertainment awards."
Jang appeared to have watched the episode of "I Live Alone" in which Kim Min appeared as a guest.
During the episode, Kim Min showed viewers his off-grid lifestyle in an older, run-down home — powering the lights with a generator, drawing water from underground with a pump, and training in martial arts in the yard with his hair tied in a traditional topknot.
Viewers responded warmly, saying his unfamiliar, back-to-basics daily life made for a refreshing watch.
Meanwhile, Kim Min is a seasoned actor in his 15th year since his debut, with credits including the film The Outlaws 3, the Disney+ drama series "Big Bet" and "Killers' Shopping Mall" seasons 1 and 2. He is also a competitive hapkido practitioner.
