Damyang-gun completed renovations to the Dambit Youth Cultural Center on Wednesday, unveiling the refurbished space designed to support cultural and leisure activities for local young people.

The renovation expanded rest areas where youth can relax and spend time with friends, while also broadening the range of hands-on activity spaces for sports, gaming and other pursuits.

The interior was redesigned floor by floor to suit different uses. The first floor features a book cafe for reading and relaxation, the second floor houses a play area called Dambit Playground, and the third floor offers a hangout lounge called Dambit Hideout — giving visitors the freedom to choose spaces that match their interests.

Particularly popular additions include a new photo booth, a virtual sports experience zone and expanded digital activity facilities including a PlayStation setup, all aimed at widening the range of cultural and leisure options available to youth.

Damyang-gun Mayor Park Jong-won said he hopes the center will become a place where local young people can drop in anytime to rest, connect with one another and nurture their dreams. "We will continue to expand safe and enjoyable environments where youth can thrive," he added.
