The Department of Youth and Lifelong Education at Daegu Science University participated in the Seo-gu Youth Hope Festival at the Seo-gu Culture Center in Daegu on Saturday, running an activity booth for local youth and residents.

Hosted by the Daegu Seo-gu District Office and the Seo-gu Youth Training Center, the event featured a sea-glass keyring-making booth set up by students from the department, giving participants a hands-on crafting experience.

The students led the activity themselves, engaging directly with participants while gaining firsthand experience running a youth activity program.

The department also used the occasion to share the university's expertise in youth and lifelong education with the broader community, supporting young participants in expressing their creativity through hands-on activities.

Park Ho-mun, head of the Department of Youth and Lifelong Education, said the festival was a meaningful opportunity for students to experience youth activity work firsthand, connect with local young people and develop their professional skills.
