The Seoul Olympic Legacy Forum 2026, organized by the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation, opened Tuesday at Seoul Olympic Parktel.

Running through Thursday, the forum was convened under the theme "Olympic Legacy for a More Inclusive Future" to explore sustainable ways to use and develop the Olympic heritage. More than 400 domestic and international sports experts and officials from international sports organizations are taking part.

The opening ceremony featured remarks by Foundation Chairman Ha Hyung-joo and a keynote address by Cho Hyun-jae, president of the Korea Olympic Heritage Association, followed by the adoption of the "Seoul Declaration," which expresses a commitment to carrying forward and developing the Olympic spirit.

Forum sessions will cover the post-Games use of Olympic facilities and business models, sports innovation through AI and data technology, the future of the Paralympic Games, and strategies for urban regeneration and community development in Asia-Pacific Olympic host cities.

Special sessions will feature representatives from the International Olympic Academy and the International Olympic Truce Centre, who will offer contemporary reinterpretations of the peace and harmony ideals of the Seoul Olympics.

On Wednesday, participants will take part in an Olympic legacy tour of the stadiums and sculptures at Olympic Park. On Thursday, the final day, attendees are scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the National Sports Museum.
