Running through Nov. 14 at Namsan Park
Reservations open on Naver; up to 600 teams for campnic, 2,800 for autumn walk
Silent DJ party 'Namsan Palgak Club' also on offer
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has organized a nighttime autumn festival at Namsan where visitors can camp, watch films and stroll through fall foliage.
The city announced Tuesday that the 2026 Namsan Night Festival will run every Friday and Saturday from Oct. 23 through Nov. 14 at Namsan Park.
The event is designed not only to let visitors soak in the autumn atmosphere but also to draw them naturally toward nearby commercial districts.
The centerpiece program, "Namsan Campnic," lets up to 100 teams per day set up tents or picnic mats on the lawn at Baengnyeom Plaza to enjoy performances and film screenings against the backdrop of Namsan's evening glow. A dedicated delivery zone will be set up in the Hohyeondang courtyard inside the venue, allowing visitors to order food from nearby restaurants.
The Namsan Campnic runs from Oct. 23 through Nov. 7, every Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. A total of 600 teams — 100 per day — can take part across the six sessions.
A nighttime trekking program called "Autumn Foliage Walk" will also be offered, combining fall colors with city views. The route begins at Namsan Yejang Park and passes N Seoul Tower, Namsan Library and Namsan Hanok Village. The first course, 3.8 kilometers, runs Oct. 23 and 24; the second course, 4.2 kilometers, runs Nov. 6 and 7. Each walk takes approximately one hour and 30 minutes and one hour and 40 minutes, respectively.
Participants who complete the walk will receive a commemorative gift, and street performances will be staged at midpoints along the route. Those who finish and are enrolled in the city's "Wrist Doctor 9988" health app will earn 1,000 points per person. The city will accept 2,800 participants in total — 700 per day — with groups of 350 departing at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
In addition, the city has set the trek's endpoints in Haebangchon, Itaewon and the Chungmuro-Euljiro area so that participants can naturally flow into local commercial districts after finishing.
A silent DJ party called "Namsan Palgak Club" will also be held. Participants dance to music through wireless headphones, keeping the event noise-free for the surrounding area. Two sessions will run each evening — 5:30 to 7 p.m. and 7:30 to 9 p.m. — with 300 people per showing. Glow-in-the-dark tattoo sticker experiences will also be available.
Anyone can attend the Namsan Night Festival by making a reservation in advance through Naver. Both Korean and foreign visitors are welcome, but advance booking is required. Details on deposits and other conditions to prevent no-shows are available on the event's official website.
"We will run the festival safely and substantively so that it becomes a chance for citizens to enjoy a special break in their daily lives and for nearby businesses to gain new energy," said Kim Young-hwan, director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Garden City Bureau.
