Joint campaign tied to E1's Orange Card Family Day event
Instant rice, reusable bags distributed to promote domestic farm produce
Partners to pursue co-branded card launch and point-exchange system
NH NongHyup Card has teamed up with energy company E1 to distribute instant rice made from domestic grain and eco-friendly goods to customers at E1 charging stations. The event follows an MOU the two companies signed in August to upgrade payment services and deepen environmental cooperation.
NH NongHyup Card said it held the "Joint Campaign to Promote Domestic Farm Produce Consumption and Energy Conservation" at an E1 charging station in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, on Monday.
The event was held in conjunction with E1's flagship customer appreciation event, the Orange Card Family Day. Employees from both companies handed out instant rice made from domestic grain, prepared by NH NongHyup Card, along with reusable shopping bags and other eco-friendly items from E1, spreading awareness about the importance of consuming locally grown produce and saving energy.
The venue also featured standees and banners showcasing NH NongHyup Card's mascot "Ollie" and E1's mascot "Titi."
The campaign follows the MOU the two companies signed Aug. 25 to upgrade card payment services and generate eco-friendly synergies. At the time, the partners agreed to cooperate on improving payment services at E1 charging stations, expanding customer benefits and pursuing joint environmental projects.
Specifically, the two companies plan to streamline card approval and processing procedures at E1 charging stations to improve payment reliability and reduce operating costs. NH NongHyup Card also said it would pursue the launch of an integrated eco-friendly co-branded card bundling benefits for liquefied petroleum gas, electric vehicle and hydrogen charging. The partners also announced plans to build a point-exchange system allowing customers to swap E1's Orange Points and NH NongHyup Card's NH Points for use at E1 charging stations, Hanaro Mart and other affiliated outlets.
The two companies said they plan to expand joint marketing by leveraging each other's infrastructure and continue social contribution activities tied to environmental, social and governance principles.
"It is deeply meaningful that we can use both companies' mascot characters to convey the values of rural community support and environmental protection in a way that feels approachable to customers," an NH NongHyup Card official said. "We will continue working closely with E1 to deliver differentiated payment services and create sustainable social value."
