Cheongdo-gun in North Gyeongsang Province will hold the third season of its youth matchmaking event at major attractions across the county from Oct. 24 to Oct. 25, the county announced Tuesday.
The autumn program will feature a healing date walk amid the tranquil scenery of Unmunsa, a millennium-old Buddhist temple, along with a rail bike ride through the county's lush natural landscape, a wood-tray craft workshop at the National Cheongdo Forest Welfare Center, and a rotation matching talk session.
The event is open to 30 unmarried men and women — 15 of each — born between 1983 and 1999. Male applicants must reside in Cheongdo-gun or work for a company based there, while female applicants must reside in North Gyeongsang Province or work for a company located in the province, broadening the pool of potential matches.
Applications are accepted through Sunday via the "New Updates" section of the Cheongdo-gun website, where applicants can find instructions and required documents. Final participants will be announced individually on Monday.
"Autumn, with its cool breeze, crimson foliage and the flutter of new encounters, is a season made for connections to bloom," Cheongdo-gun County Chief Park Gwon-hyeon said. "Carrying on the excitement of the first and second seasons, I hope this third season — the finale of the year — becomes the most special closing chapter of the year for the young people of Cheongdo."
