BS Group announced Monday that the BMW Ladies Championship 2026, an official LPGA Tour event, will be held over four days from Oct. 22 to Oct. 25 at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam-gun, South Jeolla Province.

Hosted by BMW Korea, the BMW Ladies Championship is the only regular LPGA Tour event held in South Korea. This year, 84 top-ranked players — including 15 from the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour — will compete in a 72-hole stroke play format. The total purse stands at $2.35 million, with the winner's share set at $350,000.

Pine Beach will host the tournament for the second consecutive year, having also staged it last year as the first regular LPGA Tour event held in the Honam region. That edition drew about 60,000 spectators over four days, and Kim Se-young claimed the title to become the first Korean champion in four years. The influx of visitors boosted the local economy, with accommodations, restaurants and tourist attractions in Haenam and surrounding areas seeing a surge in business.

Pine Beach Golf Links, located in Haenam-gun, is one of South Korea's premier golf destinations. The resort comprises three courses — Pine, Beach and Oceano — with 10 holes running along the coastline, offering views of the South Sea. Particularly notable is hole 6 on the Beach Course, the resort's signature hole, where players tee off across the water. Pine Beach earned further recognition this year when Golf Magazine named it among the world's top 100 golf resorts.

During the tournament, BS Group plans to set up a gallery booth on-site featuring roulette events, prize giveaways and Pine Beach merchandise sales, while promoting the group's key projects and vision.

"It is meaningful to host the country's only LPGA event for the second year in a row," a BS Group official said. "We have made every preparation to ensure both players and spectators can enjoy the tournament in the best possible environment, and we hope this event will serve as a festival that brings vitality to the local economy of Haenam."

Meanwhile, BS Group is expanding its business with a focus on construction, real estate development and energy. Alongside its housing business centered on the "Sujain" brand, the group is developing Solaseado, a public-private urban development project undertaken in partnership with local authorities including Haenam-gun. Solaseado is gaining momentum following the ground-breaking of a national AI computing center in August and Samsung Electronics' announcement of a 17 trillion won ($12.7 billion) plan to invest in an AI data center at the site.
